Meet the office
I am Marina Romero Llovet, a psychologist specialising in psychological support for adults, always from a feminist, intersectional and integrative perspective.
I studied Psychology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and also have a Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology from the same university. I have also completed a Master’s Degree in Constructivist Psychotherapy at the University of Barcelona (UB), in which I have delved into constructivist and systemic techniques that I adapt according to the needs of each person.
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of people, offering support in cases of eating disorders (ED), complex trauma, chronic pain and different manifestations of anxiety.
Although supporting trans people and the LGTBI+ community has been a fundamental part of my journey, this is not the only area in which I specialise. My goal is to offer an inclusive and safe space for all people seeking psychological support.

Trajectory

Previously, I worked as a psychotherapist at Trànsit Barcelona, accompanying trans people in their process, and I currently collaborate with the Comprehensive Care Service (SAI), offering psychological support to people from the LGTBIQ+ community who have suffered aggression or need urgent care.
In addition, I have been working independently for years, taking care of a range of users from diverse groups.
I conceive psychotherapy as a support process, where people can learn to navigate and face a world that can often be hostile, with the aim of building a full and authentic life.
A critical
psychotherapy

I understand psychotherapy as a space for transformation in which the power structures that influence our lives are questioned.
My approach is critical and committed to breaking the traditional hierarchy between therapist and patient, creating a horizontal space based on mutual trust and dialogue.
This approach allows not only to work on emotional well-being, but also to review and redefine the hegemonic discourses that permeate us and affect our mental health.
I am open to learning and growing through my contact with various areas of activism, which enrich my practice and provide a broader vision of the realities experienced by the people I accompany.
My values
Feminism
Feminism is the basis of my professional practice. I defend equal rights and opportunities for all people, regardless of their gender. I work from a critical perspective with respect to the power structures that perpetuate inequalities, and I strive to create safe spaces where each person can explore and claim their identity and personal experience, far from stereotypes and social impositions.
Intersectionality
Feminism is the basis of my professional practice. I defend equal rights and opportunities for all people, regardless of their gender. I work from a critical perspective with respect to the power structures that perpetuate inequalities, and I strive to create safe spaces where each person can explore and claim their identity and personal experience, far from stereotypes and social impositions.
LGBTQIA+ activism
I am actively involved in the fight for the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community. I defend a world where sexual and gender identities and orientations are celebrated and respected. I accompany people in their process of discovery and empowerment, creating spaces where they can express themselves freely, and working to dismantle the heteronormative and cisnormative structures that oppress sexual and gender dissidence.
